Founder and CEO of Orange Gateway has worked in finance, risk- and asset management, since 2005 and has held positions such as Head of Financial Risk at Valitor hf and Head of Risk Management at Gildi Pension Fund. Prior Hlynur held a positions with Arion Bank in Risk Management and was a proprietary bond trader for Landsbanki Treasury.
Hlynur founded the first cryptocurrency company in Iceland 2014, Skiptimynt ehf, which operated the ISX exchange market until 2021. Hlynur also founded the Icelandic Blockchain foundation https://ibf.is/ and was the chairman of the board.
